Daikin Orders Shopping Tote Bags

Home News & Articles

Daikin Industries (Thailand) ordered shopping tote bags made from CW 648 PU fabric with a nylon lining; for the zipper pulls and tracks we used BKK hardware. The DAIKIN logo is embroidered at the right corner of the bag using our factory’s own embroidery machines. The order was for 100,000 units with a production lead time of 60 days after the customer sent the purchase order (PO).

The production process began with the customer asking us to estimate price and lead time. We produced a sample bag and submitted it with a quotation and production schedule within one week. We had to compete against seven other factories — both large and small manufacturers across Thailand — and we won the bid on both price and lead time. We are confident we won because we own our own embroidery facility, giving us full control over cost and schedule. Once the customer confirmed the order, we began by bringing fabric, hardware, raw materials, and zipper pulls into the factory. With materials ready, we cut the fabric to the bag pattern, then sent it to our embroidery shop — the embroidery setup for the logo had already been prepared at the sampling stage, which keeps production fast; the difficult, slow step is producing the customer’s sample. After embroidery, we assembled the bags, finishing by joining the front compartment bearing the embroidered logo to the finished bag. After sewing, the bags went through quality control (QC) and were packed and delivered to Daikin Industries (Thailand). The customer requested 30-day credit terms for billing; when the 30 days were up, we sent a messenger to collect the cheque from the customer.
