Ko-II Orders Koi Fish Bags

Home News & Articles

Ko-II (Japan) ordered auspicious koi fish bags made from 100% black PU leather. The koi motif is embroidered on our factory’s SWF computerized embroidery machines to create the pattern. The zipper and zipper pulls are gold-plated for an elegant, luxurious shine, and the storage compartment is stamped with the Ko-II name. The interior is lined with thick, soft 100% cotton in black — waterproof, dustproof, and tightly, securely sewn inside for long-lasting durability. There are five interior compartments: general storage pockets plus one hidden pocket for valuables. A CCT base board is sewn into the bottom of the bag so it sits flat, firm, and durable when placed on a surface, and the underside is fitted with bottom studs made of solid brass. The customer ordered 35,000 units with a production lead time of 120 days after sending the purchase order (PO).

The production process began with the customer asking us to estimate price and lead time. We produced a sample bag and submitted it together with a quotation and production schedule within 15 days. Ko-II (Japan) put our quotation into a competitive bid against other companies, and we won the bid on both price and lead time. We are confident we won because we own our own leather-embossing and embroidery facilities, giving us full control over both cost and schedule. Once the customer confirmed the order, we began by bringing fabric, hardware, raw materials, zipper pulls, leather, and red, black, and white embroidery thread into the factory. With materials ready, we cut the fabric to the bag pattern, then sent it to the embossing shop and for embroidery of the Ko-II logo — both the embossing block for the Ko-II logo and the embroidery setup had already been prepared when we made the customer’s sample, which makes production fast; the difficult, slow step is producing the sample bag itself. After the logo embossing and circular embroidery were finished, we assembled the bags. The final step was building the carry handles: two layers of PU leather joined over a rattan core so they hold an elegant, durable curve, then sewing the front panel bearing the Ko-II koi logo onto the finished bag. After sewing, every bag went through quality control (QC) and packing, and our shipping department sent the order by air freight to Ko-II in Tokyo, Japan. The customer requested 35-day credit terms for billing; when the 35 days were up, we submitted the documents by email and the customer wired payment from Japan directly to our company account. This customer has placed their trust in us for more than 30 years.
